4% Xylocaine (lidocaine HCl) Topical Solution contains a local anesthetic agent and is administered topically. See indications for specific use.

4% Xylocaine Topical Solution contains lidocaine HCl, which is chemically known as acetamide, 2-(diethylamino)-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-, monohydrochloride.

Xylocaine 4% Uses:

Lidocaine topical solution is used to induce temporary loss of sensation in the accessible mucous membranes of the oral and nasal cavities and in the proximal parts of the digestive system.

Lidocaine Viscous Oral Topical Solution is used to numb the irritated or inflamed mucous membranes of the mouth and throat caused by certain medical procedures or cancer chemotherapy. It is not recommended to treat a sore throat caused by the flu, cold, or any infection.
